Quick Start: How It Works
  1. Type the sentence in your language
  2. Bellalingua analyses your sentence to determine the quality of the computer translation. If the quality is too low, we will attempt to rewrite your sentence in a way that can be translated more accurately while preserving your intended meaning.
  3. Choose the highest ranked rewritten sentence in your language that preserves your intended meaning
  4. Click to insert the translation
What The Sentence Colors Mean
  • RED: Your sentence has a low probability of being translated correctly and we have no suggestions on how to make it better.  Please shorten the sentence, remove idiomatic phrases, or rewrite the sentence to make it more specific and understandable.
  • YELLOW: Your sentence has an average probability of being translated correctly.  Please click on the sentence and choose one of the rewritten sentences.  The rewritten sentences have a high probability of being translated correctly.  Please choose the sentence that most accurately conveys your intended meaning.
  • GREEN: Your sentence is well written and has a very high probability of being translated correctly. No need to do anything.
Options
  1.  Change Language: Click the target language are you can change the language to any of 13 choices.
  2.  Automate: Select “Auto Apply Recommendation” and Bella Lingua will automatically choose the highest ranked option and apply the translation. (best for large documents and bulk submissions)
  3. Change Domain: Choose between General (the boradest), business emails, or business documents
  4. Change Formality: Some (though not all) languages have more formal and more informal tones and constructions depending on your intended audience and message. By default, the system is set to ‘formal” which is generally most appropriate for business communications.
What to Do With a Red Sentence
  1.  Try to remove all jargon and idiomatic expressions.
  2.  Break the sentences into 2 or more sentences to make the sentences more understandable.
  3.  Explicitly state the subject and object as well as the gender of any subjects or objects to reduce ambiguity.
